Penang, 25 April 2025 – Digital Penang hosted the Digital Economy Master Plan (DEMP) Stakeholders Workshop at Think City’s UAB Building, bringing together key players from government, industry, and academia to shape Penang’s Digital Economy.
In his opening remarks, YB Zairil Khir Johari, Penang State EXCO for Infrastructure, Transport and Digital, underscored the importance of collaboration in building a future-ready, inclusive digital economy. He highlighted that DEMP will guide Penang’s development from 2025 to 2030, focusing on digital government, economy, society, and foundation to drive sustainable growth and innovation. As Penang’s blueprint for a connected, competitive, and resilient digital economy, Digital Economy Master Plan marks a critical milestone towards achieving the Penang2030 vision.
