PENANG, 21 AUGUST 2024 – Digital Penang, a Penang State Government-Linked Company, in partnership with She Loves Tech, proudly announces the successful conclusion of the She Loves Tech Malaysia country level selection competition. This prestigious event reinforces Malaysia’s commitment to become a global centre for startups, a vision strongly endorsed by the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
She Loves Tech, the world’s largest pitch competition for women and tech founders, is committed to bridging the funding gap for women entrepreneurs and fostering a vibrant ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship. This year, two standout Malaysian women-led startups, Inicorn Sdn Bhd and Binsho Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd, emerged as the country level finalists. They will represent Malaysia at the Southeast Asia Regional Pitch Competition on 21 August 2024 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
Showcasing Malaysia’s Pioneering Women Entrepreneurs
Abby Teoh, CEO of Inicorn, and Tai Ren Yin, Co-Founder of Binsho Solutions, distinguished themselves among 10 pioneering startup founders shortlisted for the Malaysia-level pitching competition. Organised in partnership with Malaysian Business Angel Network (MBAN), the event featured a distinguished panel of judges, including Satnam Kaur, Director of Operations at Digital Penang; Azleena Idris, Senior Director at Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd; Noor Amy Ismail, Board and Advisory Panel member at Wahed Ventures; and Alan Ong, Interim Chairman of the Penang Chapter at MBAN.
Inicorn, headquartered in Penang, leads in digital innovation, offering a cutting-edge platform that enables Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and mid-tier plastic manufacturers to embrace seamless digitalisation and promote plastic circularity. Meanwhile, Binsho Solutions, based in Shah Alam, is revolutionising quality control at mills with its groundbreaking automated Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) grading system, driving greater efficiency and accuracy.
