7 February 2023, George Town, Penang – Digital Penang and Founder Institute, one of the world’s most reputable organisations in the startup ecosystem which transforms concepts into viable startups and startups into global businesses on Friday, 3rd February 2023, announced the partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) exchange of the Malaysia Virtual 2023 Founder Institute Programme. The exchange between both parties were led by the Chief Executive Officer of Digital Penang, Ts. Ng Kwang Ming and Kevin Brockland, Director of Founder Institute Malaysia. Held at Digital Penang’s headquarters, the launch and MOU exchange were witnessed by Penang-based tech startups and startup ecosystem partners.
The Programme aims to transform development ideas into viable startups that offers solutions to challenges caused by the everchanging business and industry environment and the creation of new startups within the tech startup ecosystem in Penang. With a synonymous mission to grow and support the tech startup ecosystem, the collaboration of both parties to drive the Programme envisions to create and accelerate Penang tech startups in their early stages.
It will be a platform for startups and technology entrepreneurs based in Penang to develop their ventures while receiving expert mentoring and networking from Founder Institute’s esteemed pool of mentors in the industry. Early bird participation for the Malaysia Virtual 2023 Founder Institute Programme is fixed at USD399. Late registrants are welcomed with a fee of USD499 only.
