6 May 2022, George Town – In line with the state government’s Penang2030 vision to drive digital adoption among citizens, Digital Penang will be conducting a 10-lesson Digital Clinic workshop in collaboration with MPKK Pykett Avenue / Jalan Northam. Held every Monday, the first class will take place on 9th May 2022 from 8pm to 9:30pm at Penang Buddhist Free School along Jalan Burma. Open to all ages, the Digital Clinic will consist of bite-sized lessons organised around key digital themes including internet basics, mobile apps, e-wallet, social media and more.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly accelerated digital transformation in all aspects of human life. With the pandemic forcing a rapid shift, it is more imminent now than ever for us to embrace a digital culture. Through the Digital Clinic workshop, participants will have the opportunity to acquire new and basic technology skills, in the state’s effort to bridge the digital divide.”, said Mr. Timothy Choy, Strategy & Communications Senior Manager of Digital Penang.

Digital Penang, a government-linked company, offers Digital Clinic classes to communities to accelerate digitalisation efforts and building a digital-savvy society for the state. Since 2020, Digital Penang has conducted more than 190 free basic technology classes through its #DahDigital initiative where more than 45,000 individuals have strengthened their digital literacy skills and interest in embracing today’s digital age.
