Digital Penang is proud to see Penang-based startups continuing to make their mark at Day 2 of the Cradle Startup ASEAN Summit 2025, held at JIOspace, Petaling Jaya.
The summit, themed “Connect”, brings together founders, innovators, investors, and ecosystem builders from across ASEAN to collaborate, network, and exchange ideas, shaping the future of the regional startup landscape.
Representing Penang’s dynamic innovation ecosystem were:

Digital Penang is proud to see Penang-based startups making their mark at the Cradle Startup ASEAN Summit 2025 held at Heritage Valley, Kuala Lumpur. The summit brought together innovators, investors, and ecosystem builders from across the region to strengthen the ASEAN startup community.
Representing Penang’s vibrant innovation ecosystem were Tongle Group Holding, ADA Biotech Sdn Bhd, Cult Creative (which originally originated from Penang) , Zero Technologies Electronics, and SpaceIn. These startups reflect the state’s diverse strengths from biotechnology and creative industries to electronics and space technology, showcasing the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit that drives Penang forward.

George Town, 23 October 2025 – Participation in the Penang Cybersecurity Workshop
Digital Penang was honoured to participate in the Penang Cybersecurity Workshop, a critical initiative co-hosted by the Malaysia Smart Industry Association and the Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC). The workshop convened key stakeholders from government, industry, and education to address the urgent issue of cyber threats.
Digital Penang's Director of SME & Community Development, Mr. Khooi Chu Boon, served as a key speaker at the event, emphasizing that "without security, there can be no sustainability and without trust, there can be no transformation." He underscored cybersecurity's integral role within Digital Penang's strategic framework as essential for building a resilient digital ecosystem in Penang.
During his address, he articulated that cybersecurity constitutes a fundamental component of Digital Penang's comprehensive digital transformation blueprint, operating in synergy with other strategic pillars to fortify Penang's digital landscape against evolving threats while enabling sustainable growth for businesses and communities.
Digital Penang remains committed to collaborating with ecosystem partners to ensure Penang stands as a fortress of digital safety and resilience, safeguarding the future of our digital economy.
