Kuala Lumpur, 5 November 2025 – Wrapping up three inspiring days at the Cradle Fund Startup ASEAN Summit 2025 (Day 3)
Digital Penang is pleased to have showcased the innovation and talent of Penang-based startups at the Startup Exhibition during Cradle LIVE! Startup ASEAN Summit 2025 Day 3: Elevate, held at Zepp Kuala Lumpur. Over the course of the three-day summit, 10 startups represented Penang’s growing innovation ecosystem.
The participating startups shared that the summit provided valuable exposure and networking opportunities, enabling them to engage with investors, ecosystem partners, and founders from across ASEAN. Many expressed that the experience offered meaningful insights, connections, and collaborations that will support their journey toward regional growth.
Digital Penang extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Norman Matthieu Vanhaecke, Group CEO of Cradle, and Mr. Mohd Noor Hisham Bin Abdul Bari, Assistant Vice President and Head of MYStartup Malaysia Unit, for their support in making the exhibition and startup booths a success. Their efforts continue to empower Malaysia’s startup ecosystem and encourage regional collaboration.

Digital Penang is proud to see Penang-based startups continuing to make their mark at Day 2 of the Cradle Startup ASEAN Summit 2025, held at JIOspace, Petaling Jaya.
The summit, themed “Connect”, brings together founders, innovators, investors, and ecosystem builders from across ASEAN to collaborate, network, and exchange ideas, shaping the future of the regional startup landscape.

Digital Penang, in partnership with Thoughts In Gear, successfully hosted the Building Sustainable Supply Chains workshop at Digital Penang. The session began with opening remarks by Mr. Khooi Chu Boon, Director of SME & Community Development at Digital Penang, who emphasized the importance of sustainability as a key pillar for business growth and competitiveness.
The workshop was led by Ms. Margie Ong, Founder and CEO of Thoughts In Gear (TIG), who shared practical insights on how both large corporations and SMEs can strengthen their sustainability strategies through responsible supply chain management. Her session highlighted the growing importance of integrating sustainable practices into business operations to build long-term resilience.
