23 October 2023, George Town – Digital Penang announced Penang’s first international startup ecosystem collaboration via a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KUMPUL.ID today.
The collaboration is a valuable opportunity to open an official channel for cross-border collaboration, fund raising and support for Penang startups venturing into Indonesia and vice versa.
Digital Penang is grateful to Mega Prawita, Managing Director of Kumpul.ID and her team including Mia Aulia Gaswara and Iga Andita Lestari. Also present in the event were Jesslyn Gunawan (Trihill Capital), Tia Ayuningtyas (East Ventures) and Ricky Cahyadi Bastian (Ozora Yatrapaktaja) who shared about the Indonesian market and received pitches from our startups.
The meeting with Kumpul.ID was a valuable opportunity for Penang startups to expand their market access, conduct knowledge sharing, facilitate partnerships with stakeholders, and engage potential venture capitalists in Indonesia. It is aligned with the state’s goal to nurture a strong startup ecosystem and establish 500 startups by 2030.
Kumpul.ID is an ecosystem builder and a co-learning platform that empowered more than 70 hubs in 32 cities across Indonesia to nurture entrepreneurship development.
